Easter!
Christ is Risen! Without the resurrection, my faith would be in vain. Sure, I'd try to be a moral person, but without Christ's sinless death as a sacrifice for my sins, and his coming back to life to show that we will have eternal life if we believe in Him, I wouldn't have much hope. I suppose I would strive to get the most stuff in this life and have the most fun I could. It'd be a life of needless chasing after something I could never quite get my hands on - an unfulfilled life. Instead, I've been called to trust in the Lord in all things, including our finances and family. Just last week, I put in my 2-week notice at work to be at home full-time with Ashleigh. A day after we decided, we got a check in the mail that was $5 over our monthly truck payment (I wasn't going to quit until we paid off the truck, but it was so close, we decided to take the plunge). How's that for God's provision?
Easter was great! We had dinner with my family on Saturday night and dinner with my husband's family on Sunday. My mother-in-law has an amazing sewing talent and actually made Ashleigh's dress. It was a really fun weekend with lots of easter baskets, stuffed animals, candy, and eggs (remember, she's still the only grandchild on both sides...). Hope you also had a blessed Easter!
